The adoption of Artificial Intelligence represents one of the most significant technological changes, with profound implications in organisational models, public policies and everyday life. This symposium proposes a space for critical reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue on processes of AI incorporation in the productive, governmental and citizen sectors. It will examine the conditions that enable or hinder its effective and ethical adoption, considering factors such as governance, institutional capacities, organisational innovation and digital competences. Background information will be presented to better understand perceptions of risks and benefits in businesses and the general population, as well as experiences that allow understanding how this technology can be integrated in a sustainable, inclusive and strategic way. Academics, regulators and practitioners are invited to submit papers and applications demonstrating the impact of AI on businesses, the state or individuals, and to discuss the challenges of AI-driven digital transformation.
Dr. Thierry de Saint Pierre: Thierry de Saint Pierre is a Civil Mathematical Engineer from the University of Chile and Dr. in Computer Science from the Sorbonne University (Paris). Thierry de Saint Pierre is a civil mathematical engineer from the University of Chile and holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Sorbonne University (Paris). Director of the master's degree in cybersecurity at the Universidad San Sebastián, president of the national Artificial Intelligence roundtable and vice-president of the digital government roundtable. Past-president of the Association of Chilean Information Technology Companies (ACTI). Entrepreneur and manager of technology companies, with two successful companies leaders in internet solutions, ecommerce and security in banking (North Supply Business, Multinet), a pioneering venture in Artificial Intelligence solutions applied to mining operations (Navigo Mining), and manager of the multinational technology company (Idemia). Director at Innova Chile-Corfo and executive director of the strategic investment fund (FIE) of the Ministry of Economy with extensive experience in innovation and strategic investment programmes. Long experience as adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Engineering at the University of Chile and assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University Diego Portales. His research focuses on the digital transformation of mining, aquaculture, agribusiness, telecommunications, commerce, banking and government institutions.
