Ethics and Social Responsibility in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities for Business and Society

The expansion of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the way people work, communicate, consume and interact with the world. From automation processes in business to data-driven decision-making and algorithms, AI opens up unprecedented opportunities for innovation and economic growth. However, this technological revolution also poses profound ethical and social questions that cannot be ignored.

The increasing reliance on intelligent systems with decision making capabilities raises concerns about the privacy, transparency, accountability and fairness in access to technology. Moreover, phenomena such as algorithmic biases, the replacement of jobs by automation or the use of AI in sensitive areas (such as health, education, finance or security) call for a rigorous and multidisciplinary debate.

This symposium seeks to create a space for reflection and academic dialogue around the AI ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)The aim is to analyse how organisations, governments and society can ensure a technological development of the European Union. fair, responsible and sustainable.
