Digitisation and the irruption of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) are generating profound transformations in both the education sector as in the labour relations. Online learning, personalised learning systems based on data and algorithms, as well as the development of virtual learning environments, are redefining the way students acquire knowledge and teachers deliver content. At the same time, the automation of processes, the reorganisation of work and the emergence of new digital skills are shaping a constantly evolving labour market.
AI opens up the possibility of more inclusive and adapted education modelsbut also raises challenges around equal access, ethics in the use of student data and technology dependency. In the workplace, organisations face the challenge of integrating AI to improve productivity without creating inequalities, promoting quality jobs and guaranteeing rights in a context of increasing automation.
This symposium aims to be a space for academic and interdisciplinary reflection to analyse how digitalisation and AI are influencing teaching-learning processes and the transformation of the labour market, as well as to discuss innovative proposals to ensure inclusive, sustainable and ethical development in both areas.
